About the Team

Minor football was started in the South Gloucester area around 1975 with the formation of the Gloucester South Dolphins. The original club wore purple and gold, and had only a Mosquito and Peewee team. In 1978, the Dolphins fielded a Bantam team for the first time. The club operated as the Dolphins until the end of the 1985 season. No teams were fielded in 1986. In 1987, the name of the club was changed to the Raiders, and team colours to the Raider's silver and black. That year the club operated a Mosquito and Peewee level only. Bantam was added again in 1988. The latest addition to the club was in 1996 when the Tyke team played for the first time..
